Scholarships at Universidad de Derby

£500 discount to eligible undergraduate and postgraduate international students who pay the tuition fees in full by the time of enrolment. This means you should pay £500 less towards your tuition fees.

In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, University of Derby is offering 5 scholarships to students in China, Ghana, India, Nigeria and Thailand applying for postgraduate courses.   

The GREAT Scholarships 2024 programme, launched by the British Council, supports postgraduate students to access world-class UK higher education opportunities. 

The scholarship programme offers financial support of £10,000 to eligible students pursuing one year postgraduate study at the University of Derby from the following countries: 

• China  

• Ghana  

• India (Big Data Analytics MSc, Cyber Security MSc and Information Technology MSc only)

• Nigeria (2 scholarships available)

• Pakistan (2 scholarships available)

• Thailand  

The deadline for applications for this scholarship is 23:59 BST on 31 May 2024.

£500 discount to eligible postgraduate taught international students who have completed a bachelor or masters degree, on-campus, at the University of Derby.

The Sports Scholarship programme aims to help our talented athletes realise their sporting potential and support them through their academic studies. Our athletes can access an impressive package of support tailored towards their needs, delivered by our experienced and qualified team. Three of the University's most recent successful sports scholars are cyclist Rhianna Parris-Smith, volleyball player Abi Littler, and badminton player Abbygael Harris.

Support Services include:

• Strength and Conditioning and Physiotherapy support.

• Sports Centre gym membership, fitness suite membership and use of the performance suite.

• Discounted University accommodation (please note not all scholars will receive discounted university accommodation).

• Lifestyle support services and sports science services.

• Sports scholarship kit.

• Dedicated athlete liaison officer.

• Psychology 1:1 and group sessions.

• Educational workshops to support lifestyle skills and sport performance.

• BUCS Individual sport entry fees.

The Sports Scholarships cater for student athletes competing at a high county level up to senior internationals and studying an undergraduate, postgraduate or online degree.

The University has recently gained Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme Dual Career Accreditation and joins a community of institutions committed to providing student-athletes with dual career opportunities.
