Scholarships are a reward given to applicants based on final results and accumulate, as per the examples below. Scholarships will be awarded as credit on an Aspire card prior to the Christmas break in December. They are non-repayable and can be spent on a whole range of different equipment. The University offers a Direct Entry (Year 3 and Top-up) Academic Merit Scholarship as a way to reward students who have demonstrated outstanding academic ability. These are awarded automatically (no application necessary) based on final results, as shown in the examples below.
This scholarship is based on UK standard qualifications (previous qualifications are subject to a time-frame of three years) and is open to students from the UK, EU, EEA and from overseas who are self-financing (not sponsored by their government or employer). The scholarship will be issued as cash/credit in December to eligible students. It cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarship, bursary or fee discount.
