The Modern European Language Scholarships provides 10 scholarships of up to £10,000 to attract the most outstanding language students to UCL.

Eligible programmes: Undergraduate programmes at the UCL School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS) or language-based programmes offered by the UCL School of Slavonic & Eastern European Studies (SSEES)

Eligibility

Eligible candidates must:

hold an offer of admission to UCL to study full-time undergraduate programmes at the UCL School of European Languages, Culture & Society (SELCS) or language-based programmes offered by the UCL School of Slavonic & Eastern European Studies (SSEES) for the 2021/22 intake

Value, benefits, and duration

The award will provide £2,500 per year for the duration of their programme (to a maximum of four years). Renewal of the scholarship is subject to an average grade of 2:1 being achieved each year.

The scholar will be given the option of whether to receive the award as maintenance or tuition fee funding.
